The Wine-Dark Sea

I am trying
to be simple as ink.

But the horns
line my spine.

I talk to you
sometimes
in the daylight.

At night
I try not to
suspend.

I hope it does not
distract you.

Celan said this
to Liana Shmueli:

Through you I translate you over to me.

There is so much
I can’t form
that is true.
