Randall Horton is the ricipient of the Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Award, the Bea Gonzalez Poetry Award, a National Endowment o fthe Arts Fellowship in Literature, and, most recently, the Great Lakes College Association's New Writers Award for Creative Nonfiction for Hook: A Memoir (Augury Books, 2015). He is a member of both the Affrilachian Poets and the experimental performance group Heroes Are Gand Leaders. Horton is an Associate Professor of English at the University of New Haven. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, he now resides in New York City.
