The trains of San Marcos are pretty.
The trains of San Marcos are occasionally loud.
The trains of San Marcos carry a certain amount of dignity,
not so much where you feel uncomfortable,
just enough to demonstrate a pleasing level of confidence.
The trains of San Marcos enjoy Monday Night Football.
The trains of San Marcos sometimes seem small.
When they were young, the trains of San Marcos learned to spell
before any other trains could spell.
But the trains of San Marcos are addicted to eBay.
But the trains of San Marcos support local gatherings
such as rallies, bake sales, watering the community garden.
The trains of San Marcos were valedictorians.
The trains of San Marcos group their errands together.
The trains of San Marcos work hard.
Somehow, the trains of San Marcos are sad.
Sad because they know you can hear them
while you hum a catchy tune to yourself.
The trains of San Marcos don’t recognize the song.
The trains of San Marcos make their own music.
