The 2018 Gulf Coast Gala

Guest Speaker: Sharon Olds

Sharon Olds is one of contemporary poetry’s most prominent voices. She has published eleven books of poetry and won numerous awards for her work, including the Pulitzer Prize, the T.S. Eliot Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, a New York State Poet Laureateship from 1998 to 2000, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Born in San Francisco, she grew up in Berkeley and was educated at Stanford and Columbia University. She currently teaches in the creative writing program at New York University.

Tickets include dinner and a copy of the latest issue of Gulf Coast. Cocktails at 6:30, and the program begins at 7:10. Dinner to follow.
